I have developed a new and better Engine Assembly Stand designed for the professional Engine Builder. It has a super heavy duty welded frame and all the rotating parts are machined and run in Bronze bushings. Not like the cheaper sloppy fit units made in China. Please check out the pictures and the short video. I have either a manual rotating unit or one that has a gear and worm gear box that can be rotated either with a ratchet and socket or a battery operated drill with a socket.
My design is built out of 4” x 3” x 3/16” wall rectangular tube. The head shaft is 2” dia. and turns in 2” id Bronze Bushings. The head shaft can be pinned in the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. I have 2 designs; one that can be rotated by hand manually with a handle and one with an integrated gear box for rotation. The gear box is designed with a 8”PD Bronze Worm wheel and Steel Worm Gear with a 60 to 1 ratio. As shown in the attached video, I have a fully dressed Ford 460 Engine mounted to the stand and rotating it with a 3/8” Ratchet with 2 fingers. It also comes with a 12" x 12" Stainless Tool Tray
